Guardians of the National Cemetery

Our Veterans gave their best. Let us honor their service and their sacrifice.

Someone once said that you can judge the quality of a country by the manner in which it honors its veterans. That idea hit home several years ago as we formed a group of veterans to help promote and support the Washington Crossing National Cemetery and its mission to bury and honor America's fallen heroes.

Memorial Day. Veteran's Day. They're more than just a day off from work or school, at least they ought to be. It took 9/11 to bring home to the American consciousness what our soldiers and their families have known all along - freedom is worth fighting for; freedom is worth dying for.

Help us honor our soldiers, veterans, and their families so they know that their sacrifices were not in vain, and certainly not unrecognized.

The Guardians of the National Cemetery (also known as Guardians of the Washington Crossing National Cemetery) is a volunteer organization.

There's a place for everyone to serve. Become a member and find a PLACE. If you're an honorably discharged veteran, join our Washington Crossing Honor Guard Detail. Maybe plants are your passion, and you'd like to help beautify the Cemetery. Or maybe you're happy to make a DONATION that helps create a Memorial Day Observance Ceremony worthy of our veterans' sacrifices. Whichever option suits you best, we'll be glad to have you, and our veterans and their families thank you.
