It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tom Hauserman, a cherished member of the Guardians of the National Cemetery. Tom, a valued part of our Monday Honor Guard team, left us on July 1st, 2024. His contributions to our organization were immense, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Tom served alongside Terry Schweikert, the Monday team’s Firing Party Leader, with dedication and excellence. In addition to his role as a Firing Party Leader, Tom took on significant responsibilities in the administration building, ensuring that our operations ran smoothly and efficiently. His commitment to his duties and his team was unwavering.
Tom was not only a respected leader but also a beacon of kindness and integrity. Those who had the privilege of being around him were inspired to be better people, emulating his example of goodness and sincerity. His presence brought out the best in all of us, and he leaves behind a legacy of compassion and dedication that will continue to inspire.
Tom’s love for his wife, Karen, was evident to everyone who knew them. Together, they were a remarkable couple, admired and respected by all. Their bond was a testament to the strength of their relationship and their shared values of love, kindness, and community. Karen, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
We will miss Tom deeply, but we will honor his memory by continuing to uphold the values he exemplified. His spirit will always be a part of the Guardians of the National Cemetery, and we are forever grateful for the time we had with him.
Rest in peace, Tom. You will always be remembered and cherished.
